Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had a great week!
I was house sitting this week, so it was definitely different for me. I wasn’t home all week, but I made sure to still take my pictures. And I did take my journals with me, but only a few of my stickers because I can’t travel with all of them; it would be insane.
So, without further ado, here are my pictures for this week.

We had our Embrace women’s ministry meeting on Sunday evening. It’s always such a great time to be in the same room with so many women of faith. We always have such a good time. Sunday, snacked, played Bingo, worshipped together, and had a wonderful speaker, Miriam Nadler.
Miriam also had some of her books there for us, so I decided to buy one (it’ll be pictured for Saturday). I really enjoyed hearing her speak and wanted to read her books to learn even more from her.

This cup was made by my coworker. She knows I love pink; and “pink goes good with green” (if you know, you know). When you shake it, the glitter is like a snow globe and looks like twinkling lights. We use these cups (she has one too) as little coping things when we have difficult members. When the member leaves, we shake the cup and just look at the pretty glitter because it’s so calming.

Remember that book I took a picture of “Winning the War in Your Mind”? Well, we finished the book in my anxiety group. And one of the things the author suggested was making God boxes. So, one of our awesome leaders decided for us to make one!
The purpose of the God box is to write down the sinful things in our lives, the thoughts we have that are negative and are lies, and things that we try to carry on our own; and we put them in the box as we pray and give them over to God.
However, if/when we start doing and thinking those things again, we are to take it out of the box and tell God that we really didn’t trust Him with it after all. It’s to make us think twice before going back on those things because nothing is too small or too big for God. He can take everything we give Him, and He wants us to give up that control.
So, we made our God boxes. And we had stickers! So, you know I was super happy.

Yes, this is a screenshot, but it counts. So, I told you that I was house sitting this past week. Well, my priority while house sitting was watering the garden. I do not have a green thumb, it was so hot, and it was pretty stressful. But I’m pretty sure I kept most of it alive while I was there.
Anyway! I got to dress my Finch Poppet (check out my post on the Finch app) in the cutest gardening outfit. And it was like having a little garden helper while I was trying to keep everything alive. I love it!

Thursday, my family asked if I wanted to meet them for dinner. And because I hadn’t been home since last Sunday, I jumped at the chance. So, after watering the plants, I met them for dinner at Brooke Street Burgers. They have the best burgers I have ever tasted.
I ordered the Shroom Burger and fries. It is so good! And the staff there is so friendly. We had a great time eating together. And it was nice to spend some time with my family since I hadn’t seem them in a few days.

Friday’s are bow days. I have tons of bows from a friend of mine and I wear one every Friday for work. It’s so much fun and brings a smile to my face, and other people’s faces as well.
Wearing bows is so much fun for me. I may be thirty-one, but that doesn’t mean I can’t wear bows and have fun. I love my bows. And this one is one of my favorites to wear.

So, all of these books were bought this week. These are different than the books I normally buy. I have been wanting to grow my collection of Christian books to do more studying and grow closer to God.
The first book is “Eternally Desired” by Miriam Nadler and it talks about how we are desired by God as a bride is desired by her groom. It shows this by going through the Jewish wedding customs of the Bible.
“Hope in the Dark” is a book by Craig Groeschel (the guy who wrote “Winning the War in Your Mind”). I’m looking forward to reading this one because it’s important to remember that God is always there, even in our darkest moments.
The next four “Intentional Friendship,” “Singles and Relationships,” “Walk the Line,” and “Jesus, Single Like Me” are all books geared toward singles by Kris Swiatocho. I heard her speak Saturday evening at a singles event at church. She’s hilarious and does comedy, but she has such a way of sharing her story and her message through it that it makes a huge impact. So, I am really looking forward to reading her books.
So, there are the pictures from this week. We’re almost to the end of May. So, we’ll see what the end of the month brings us in the form of pictures. Have a great week!
