Behind The Scenes

Everything You Didn’t Know You Wanted To Know

If you’ve come to this hidden gem, that means you’re looking to find out about me. Who is this random girl that’s obsessed with stickers and has way too many nightly journals? Well, I’m here to tell you . . . At least a little bit.

My name is Bethany. As of right now, I’m 31. I have a bachelor’s degree in English-Creative Writing with a minor in Children’s Literature from UNC-Charlotte (Now known as Charlotte). Writing is the name and the game so to speak.

Even at 31, I still live at home with my parents and my brother. And honestly, I don’t think I’m moving out unless I get married, and that’s not looking like it’s going to happen any time soon, so here we are.

I have a cat named Diesel who is my baby and pride and joy. Don’t let the sweet face fool you, even those who claim “I’m like the cat whisperer; even the meanest cats like me” have yet to get Diesel to warm up to them. But he is literally the sweetest thing to me, and my family.

We also have 2 dogs; Bindi and Echo. Both of them are the sweetest things. Echo doesn’t realize how big she is, but she’s a gentle giant. And Bindi will accidentally kill your eardrums barking, but she means well.

I’m active at my church, teaching the kindergarten and first grade boys every other Sunday morning. I believe I am in my seventh year teaching that age group and have been described as a “glutton for punishment.” Teaching kids about the love of Christ has been such a blessing to me; and seeing the kids I’ve taught be saved and baptized is literally the best thing ever.

I currently work as a Financial Services Representative at State Employees’ Credit Union. I have been there a little over five years. I know, it’s weird that I have a degree in English, but I work at a financial institution, but they give me a calculator, so it’s fine.

My collection of stickers is only surpassed by my books. I love to read, and if you see me with a book in my hands, I can hear you, but would prefer if you did not strike up a conversation.

I’d love to hear what you think about my blog and the posts here. I know stickers aren’t for everyone, but if there’s anything here that has helped you, or if you’ve found other ways to do things you think I would like, please let me know. I will also do my best to message back. But forgive me; I’m terrible about seeing a message, getting distracted, and then forgetting to do anything about it.

    Thanks for stopping by!
