Happy Sunday! And happy blog post day!
Can I be transparent with you for a second? I love this blog. I love posting. But I’ve been a little discouraged recently. Some of my more recent posts haven’t gotten very many views. And that’s not what I’m about, really. But without views, the things I hope could help people, don’t reach people. So, it’s just been a little discouraging.
Also, coming up with topics is hard. Once I covered my blogs and stickers, I have struggled with topics for each week. I have posted about my decorating at work, but I won’t have a new one of those until summer starts in June.
I had this idea for the pictures in May. But that’s even hard. I either forget to take a picture, or I don’t know what to take a picture of. And it’s only the second post with the pictures, so the rest of the month is going to be interesting.
But enough of my worries. Let’s get to this week’s pictures. There are 7. One for each day. And I think they were taken on the days I’m saying they were. I’m pretty sure.

If you’ve known me for more than about five minutes, you know Reese’s is my favorite candy. I love them more than anything else.
My brother needed to get some snacks for his security guard job, so we went to Walmart, and we found these Reese’s candy bars. He bought one for himself, and bought one for me because he knows how much I love them.
And oh boy! This candy bar was amazing! My favorite type of Reese’s are any of the shapes 0eggs, hearts, pumpkins, bats, Christmas trees, whatever), and this bar comes in at a close-ish second. I will always choose the shaped ones, but if the bar is an option and the shapes aren’t, the bar is definitely acceptable.

I know most of you will recognize at least one thing in this picture. These are my fidgets. I keep them at work because that’s where I need them.
I was finding myself playing with my pens or really anything I could grab as soon as I answered a phone call. For some reason, my hands had to be doing something if they weren’t on the keyboard doing a transaction.
So, I decided it was time to get something for my fidgeting. Some people don’t agree with these toys, but they just don’t understand how they really do help people who have these problem or struggle with anxiety that causes them to fidget. But I do get it. So, I got fidgets.
My first fidget is the fidget spinner. I didn’t want one of the ones that everyone had that just had the three round pieces from the middle. So, my brother helped me find the spinner you see in the picture. I love the colors and the style of the spinner. And I can spin it absentmindedly without it being a distraction.
The second fidget is my fidget cube. I saw these online and had to have one. It has 6 sides with different ways to fidget on each side. My favorite is probably the spinning wheel or the joy stick, but I definitely find myself fidgeting on all sides.
The third one is my pop-it. This one was a gift from a coworker. It was a great gift because fidgeting with this one is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been reaching for this one more than the others recently because it’s easy to fidget with it when there’s someone in front of me.
I don’t know if I’ll get anymore fidgets to have at my station, but I sure do love the ones I have.

I have this board hanging in my room that has three sayings on it. I put them on there. And I see them every day. But I don’t always listen to them.
Writing is really important to me, so I try to put little encouraging things about writing around for me to see. I don’t always follow my own advice, but when I see the board, it reminds me to just write and get something down. I just need to keep looking at that board and knowing that I really can do it.

There are no more stickers on this sheet. I took a picture of this for two reasons. The first reason, it was later in the evening and I hadn’t taken a picture yet. But the second reason is that I love when I finish a sticker sheet.
When I pull the last sticker off of a page, it just makes me happy because that means I’ve found all the sticker moments for that sheet. This specific sheet is the one I use to mark off the days in my planner. And by finishing that page of stickers shows me how many more days I’ve made it through. And knowing I have more full sticker sheets shows me that I have plenty more days that I will make it through.

Y’all, this stuff has been a life saver. I’ve had this allergy cough for the last couple of weeks and it’s driving me absolutely crazy. But cough medicine is a thing. And it’s a good thing. I want this cough to go away like . . . Two weeks ago. But at least I have something to help it.

I see a lot of blank pages. I look at them and picture the words I want to put on them. Sometimes the blank page is a little daunting, honestly. It’s a place where I’m supposed to put those words. And sometimes, words don’t come easily.
But when I have a blank page, I have so many opportunities. I have a story to tell. And I get the chance to tell it. I just have to get going on that.

I got to have lunch with my dad on Saturday. We don’t get to go out just the two of us as often as we did when I was little, so when we do, it’s really special. And we both love Chinese, so that’s where we went.
Getting to just spend time with dad and sit and talk and laugh was awesome. The food was good too, but just having a daddy-daughter time made it even better.
So, I took a picture of this water wall thing at the front of the restaurant because I thought it was awesome and it reminds me of the time I got to spend with my dad.
I hope you have a great week! See ya next time!
