Welcome back to the crazy!
And boy do I mean crazy. Almost every day this week at work ended with something crazy, or had a section in it where everyone in town decided to come in. BUT I made it, and it’s the weekend, so there’s always a silver lining.
This weekend, I have some plans; writing this post, starting the next post, wood burning, other writing, cooking; and that’s just on Saturday. On Sunday, there’s church and then the brother and I are going to Winter Jam! And I’m stoked! (And I know you’re reading this on Sunday, but because I will be heading to Winter Jam and partying with some awesome Christians, I’m writing this Saturday morning.)
This week’s post is about a really cool journal that my awesome counselor got me interested in. The Cultivate website is full of really awesome things that can help people with being in the Word, budgeting, goals, meal planning, wellness planning, and more. Their motto, as well as their website URL is “Cultivate What Matters.” And I just think that’s beautiful. And when you experience their products, you find a way to cultivate what matters to you.
I incorporate the Cultivate Write the Word journal into my every night routine. I am currently on my third one. The first one I completed was the “Prayer” journal, the second was “Contentment”, and I’m working on “Joy” right now. I have 2 more after this one, and there are more that I can purchase from the website.

There are also stickers that you can purchase, so you know I bought those as well. They have stickers that can be used in your Bible, but I usually use them for the journal itself. They also have ones that are great for planners, or really anything you want to use them for. They have fun colors, encouraging words, fun symbols, and the list goes on.

The first section says “Today is . . .” You could write something like “a good day,” “a rough day,” “a day to remember,” or you can put the date. I choose to put the date because I like being able to see what dates the journal covers. But it’s whatever the journal owner wants to do.

Then comes a section that says “I’m grateful for . . .” Again, this is completely up to the one writing the journal. Because I have my gratitude journal, I try to put something different in this section than what I put in the gratitude journal. This makes me think about other moments in the day that I’m grateful for. Having multiple gratitude sections has made me think more about those moments, which I think is a really great thing. It’s definitely important to find those things to be grateful for, and thank God for those moments.

The next section is really the main part of the Cultivate journal. This is the “Write the Word” section. This is where the Bible verses for the day are. It has the verse/verses that you write out. I’ve always heard that if you write something down as you read it, you’re more likely to remember it. So, this is something I was really into when I heard about the journals.

Being in the Word is really important, and it’s also something I struggle with. I don’t have a set quiet time like I know I should. I don’t do devotions as often as I want to. So, this journal helps me keep up with being in the Word in this capacity. And I do hope that it helps me keep up with it and be in it and study it more.
The verses are ones the Cultivate team has chosen to help drive home the theme of the journal. Even if you don’t see the connection right away, pray about it, reflect on it, and ask God to show you what He wants you to see out of those verses.
After writing out the verses, sometimes I put one of the stickers that says “Remember this” or “thankful for this.” Sometimes there are things I just want to remind myself to remember or that sticks out to me. The stickers help me do that.

The next page of the journal has a section that says “On my heart today . . .” This is another section that is up to whoever is writing. This section actually varies depending on my day. Sometimes I have prayer requests, or things that I’ve had on my mind, things that I am worried about, things that are going on in my life or in the world, or a mixture of some or all of those.
I always start this section with a sticker, imagine that. It’s just a simple sticker that is a pattern or solid color; nothing large, just something to start the section off with a little pop.

And then I just started writing whatever’s on my heart. Like I said, it varies on what I write each night. And sometimes, I mix it up because there’s a lot going on and I just need to write it all down.
And the last section of the Cultivate journal is “Word of the Day.” I don’t just use this section for one word. I, of course, use a sticker first. Sometimes I have a sticker that correlates to the “word” I’m thinking of writing, but sometimes I put just a little random sticker there; really, just to have one. And then I might really write one word, or I might write out something that I’ve been thinking about that has helped me, or it might be something related to the verses that I wrote on the previous page. And sometimes there’s a sticker that just says what I need to say and I just put that.

The Cultivate journals are beautiful! They look so pretty on a bookshelf! And they are such a great way to get into the Word! Honestly, they are a great addition to my journal routine. It’s nice to have them somewhat in the middle of the routine because it gives me a calming section during the evening.

I highly recommend these journals to anyone. They have them for kids too, so you can do a daily thing with your kids. They have bundle deals, and if you sign up for their texts, they let you know when there’s a sale! So dangerous. Haha!
But seriously, I encourage you to try these out. And if not the Cultivate journals, try to find something that will allow you to be in the Word each day. It will change your mood, your outlook, everything.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope, if you haven’t already, that you will consider subscribing so you can know when I post each week, or post bonus blogs. If not, that’s totally okay. I just appreciate you being here!
Great demo of these great journals!
